Educational Qualification
To apply on this post, Candidates Should Have 10th, ITI from a recognized university in any of the following engineering branches with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Candidates with post-graduation are not eligible to apply
- Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961, in any Government, PSU, or Private Organisation are not eligible to apply
- Candidates for Technician (ITI) Apprentice must have registered their names on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and can apply only through the portal

Selection Process

- Interview
- The Selection Committees of NFC review the applications received through the NAPS portal and select candidates, as per the vacancies indicated, through Walk-in-Interview
- The outcome of the selection is communicated to selected candidates through e-mail
- Reservation is applied as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992, as amended from time to time
- Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) must mention this at the time of registration on the NAPS portal, failing which they will be considered under the General category, and must bring the original certificate at the time of joining
- Suppression of facts by applicants can lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process, and any deviation found during credential verification will result in summary rejection of candidature
- Every apprentice who completes the training period must undergo a Trade Test to determine proficiency in the designated trade; only on passing the Trade Test is the National Apprenticeship Certificate awarded by the Controller of Examination (DGT) through the Apprenticeship portal
