Educational Qualification

The applicant should have a master’s degree in Library Science and information science from a recognised university or institute.
Candidates must have 10 years of experience in a library under the central government or state Government autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or university from a recognised research or educational institute.
Desirable–
The applicant should have 1 year experience of in computerising library activities in a Library under the Central Government or State Government autonomous or statutory organisation or public sector undertaking or University or recognised research or educational institution; or

Candidates must have 1 year experience of in indexing, abstracting and retrieving documents or information using library management software; or
Applicants must have a diploma in Computer Application from a recognised University or institute; or
Candidates must have a certificate course of 6 months duration in 1 or 2 foreign languages other than English from a recognised University or Institute.
