- The Preliminary Exam is objective in nature and carries 150 marks.
- It includes questions from General Studies and General Mental Ability.
- The duration of the Preliminary Exam is 2 hours 15 minutes.
- The Main Examination is descriptive and consists of two papers.
- Paper 1 is General Hindi, and Paper 2 is General Studies.
- Each paper in the Mains is of 2 hours 15 minutes duration.
