Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed or complete Graduation from any recognized board of examination.

Academic Qualification for UTET 1

Class 1st to 5th (Primary Teachers) –

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma
in Elementary Education.
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year
Diploma in Elementary Education.
Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year
Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for
becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge
Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher

Academic Qualification for UTET-II

Class 6th to 8th (Upper Primary Teachers)

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
Senior Secondary (or it is equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of  4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year  B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education)
