Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Minimum Requirement: Applicants must hold an equivalent degree or a degree from a university recognized by the government.
Final Year Candidates: The UPSC preliminary examination is open to candidates who are in their final year or who are awaiting their results. But in order to apply for the main IAS exam, documentation of completing the prerequisite exam must be included.
Professional and Technical Qualifications: Applicants may be considered if they possess professional and technical qualifications that the government has deemed to be on par with derees.
Medical Students: Those who have finished their internship but are still enrolled in their last year of MBBS are eligible to apply for IAS. The application for the Main Examination must be submitted with a certificate of course completion, including internship.
