  • Mathematics: +2.5 marks per correct answer, -0.83 marks for incorrect answers.

NDA SSB Interview – 5 Days Selection Process

All those who pass the UPSC NDA exam 2025 will have to appear for the SSB interview, which is a 5-day selection process. So, today we will get complete information about the interview process, which is explained in detail below.

Venue: Selection Centres (Bhopal, Bengaluru, Allahabad, Kapurthala, etc.)
Duration: 5 Days
Conducted by: Service Selection Board (Army/Navy/Air Force)

Day-wise SSB Interview Process

Day 1 – Screening Test

  1. Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test – Reasoning & Verbal/Non-verbal questions.
  2. Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT) – Ek picture dikhai jaati hai, us par story likhni hoti hai aur group discussion hota hai.

Day 2 – Psychological Tests

  1. Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): Pictures dikhai jaati hain, un par story likhni hoti hai.
  2. Word Association Test (WAT): 60 words diye jaate hain, har ek word ke liye sentence likhna hota hai.
  3. Situation Reaction Test (SRT): Real-life situations diye jaate hain, aapka reaction likhna hota hai.
  4. Self-Description Test (SD): Apne baare me likhna hota hai – family, teachers, friends aapko kaise dekhte hain.

Day 3 & 4 – Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks

  • Group Discussion (GD) – Social / current issues par group discussion.
  • Group Planning Exercise (GPE) – Problem-solving exercise with map.
  • Progressive Group Tasks (PGT) – Obstacle tasks jo teamwork check karte hain.
  • Group Obstacle Race (GOR) – Physical group activity (like “snake race”).
  • Individual Obstacles – Candidate khud se 10 obstacles complete karta hai.
  • Lecturette – Candidate ko ek topic par 3 minutes bolna hota hai.
  • Command Task – Candidate ko apne team ko lead karna hota hai.
  • Final Group Task (FGT) – Sabhi candidates milke last task karte hain.

Day 5 – Personal Interview & Conference

  • Personal Interview: Officer candidates se personal, educational, hobbies, GK aur situation-based questions puchte hain.
  • Conference: Sabhi assessors milkar final decision lete hain ki candidate “Recommended” hoga ya nahi.

Medical Examination

  • Height, Weight & BMI standards
  • Eye-sight test (6/6 or 6/9 without glasses)
  • Chest expansion, ENT check
  • X-ray, Blood & Urine test
