| Educational Qualification | Class 10 pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council for Vocational Training, or Class 10 pass plus ITI. |
| Medical Standards | Different medical standards are specified for visual acuity, including Distant and Near vision, and tests for color vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, myopic vision, etc., depending on categories A-2, A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1, and C-2. |
Nationality
Candidates to apply for the test must meet the RRC Level 1 eligibility requirements in terms of Nationality or Citizenship. Only those applicants who meet the requirements may apply to take the RRB Level 1 test. To apply for the RRC Group D test, a candidate must:
- A citizen of India, or,
- A subject of Bhutan/ Nepal, or,
- A Tibetan refugee who moved to India before January 1, 1962, and who intended to live there permanently, or
- An Indian who travelled from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or any country in East Africa to stay in India permanently.

PET Exam Pattern 2025
For Male Candidates
- Lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight.
- Run for a distance of 1000 meters in four minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
For Female Candidates
- Lift and carry 20 kgs of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight.
- Run for a distance of 1000 meters in five minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
- PET is qualifying in nature.

Group D Salary
The basic salary of candidates selected under RRB Group D Recruitment will be Rs 18,000.
Allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), Daily Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Allowance for Night Duty, Medical Facilities, Overtime Allowance etc.
The in-hand salary of RRB Group Posts is Rs. 22,500-Rs.25,380 per month.
