Educational Qualification

To apply on this post, Candidates have the qualification of 10th pass from recognised board or university.

General Duty (GD)	Graduate from a recognized university.Must have studied Physics and Maths in Class 12.
Technical (Engineering & Electrical/Electronics)	B.E./ B.Tech in relevant Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics disciplines.Must have Physics & Maths in Class 12.

• Candidates aiming for the General Duty branch should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
• Mathematics and Physics must have been subjects up to the intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 education scheme or equivalent.
• For Technical branch aspirants (Electrical/Electronics and Mechanical Trades), an Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate in the relevant field is required. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) must recognise the qualification.

General Duty (GD)

• Any Graduate with Maths, Physics as a Subject in 10+2 Level Exam.

Technical (Mechanical)

• B-Tech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with Minimum 60% Marks.

Syllabus for the written examination

i) Mathematics – Mathematical Simplification, Ratio and Proportion, Algebraic
Identities, Interest, Profit, Loss and Percentage, Work, Time, Speed and Distance, Simple
Mensuration, Geometry.

(ii) English – Preposition, Correction of sentences, Change active to passive/passive
to active voice, Change direct to indirect/indirect to direct, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites,
Punctuation, Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms,
Meanings of difficult words, Use of adjectives.

(iii) General Awareness – Geography: Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland,
Harbours, Culture and Religion, Freedom Movement, Important National Facts about
India, Heritage, Arts and Dance, History, Defense, Wars and neighbours, Awards and
Authors, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Current Affairs, Languages, Capitals and

Medical Standards.

All candidates recommended by Final Selection Board will undergo Medical examination at ‘ Base Hospital Delhi Cantt.’ as per medical standard prescribed in currentmregulations applicable to Assistant Commandant entry. The prescribed/current medical standards are as follows –

(a) Height – Asst Commandant (GD), Tech. 157 cms minimum. Reduction in minimum
height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the
Central Govt. regulations.

(b) Weight – Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.

(c) Chest – Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.

(d) Hearing – Normal

(e) Eye Sight –

• (i) Asst Commandant 6/6, 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass.
  (GD) 6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
• (ii) Asst Commandant (Tech) 6/36, 6/36 – Uncorrected without Glass.
