RPF Revised Recruitment Rules 2025 – From now on, recruitment of Constable and Sub-Inspector posts of RPF (Railway Protection Force) and RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force) will be done through SSC (Staff Selection Commission).
Earlier this recruitment was done by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
After this change, notification will be released in a regular cycle every year (like it happens for SSC GD Constable).
The recruitment process has become more transparent and standardized.

Eligibility Rules 2025
Constable Post:
- Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation) any recognized board se.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years – Maximum 23 years (Reserved category ke liye relaxation milta hai).
- Physical Standards:
- Height (Male): 170 cm (General) | 165 cm (OBC/SC/ST me relaxation)
- Height (Female): 157 cm (General) | 152 cm (OBC/SC/ST me relaxation)
- Chest (Male): 80–85 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
Sub-Inspector Post:
- Qualification: Graduate degree (any stream).
- Age Limit: Minimum 20 years – Maximum 25 years (upper age relaxation as per rules).
- Physical Standards:
- Height (Male): 170 cm | Chest 80–85 cm
- Height (Female): 157 cm

Selection Process 2025
- Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Measurement Test (PET & PMT).
- Document Verification.
- Medical Examination.
- Computer Based Test (CBT):
- Objective type exam hoga.
- Subjects: General Awareness, Arithmetic, Reasoning, and Basic Science.
- Negative marking system bhi hoga.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Running, Long Jump, High Jump.
- Male: 1600 m race (6 min 30 sec) | Female: 800 m (4 min).
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- Height & Chest measurement verification.
- Document Verification:
- Certificates, marksheets, ID proof check kiya jayega.
- Medical Examination:
- Final fitness check (eye sight, hearing, health standards).

Exam Pattern Details
- Total Marks: 120
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Sections:
- General Awareness – 50 marks
- Arithmetic – 35 marks
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 35 marks.
Training & Posting
- After final selection, candidates will be given basic training of 6 months at RPF Training Centre.
- After training, posting will be given in different zones of Indian Railways.
Salary Structure (Approx.)
- Constable: Level-3 Pay Matrix → ₹ 21,700 + DA + HRA + Allowances.
- Sub-Inspector: Level-6 Pay Matrix → ₹ 35,400 + DA + HRA + Allowances.
