Head Constable (RO)	Candidates must have passed 10th or equivalent along with a 2-year ITI in Radio & Television, Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Data Preparation, or a related trade. Alternatively, candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are also eligible.
Head Constable (RM)	Candidates must have passed 10th or equivalent with a 2-year ITI in Radio & Television, General Electronics, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, or a related trade. Alternatively, candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are also eligible.

BSF Recruitment Physical Standards 2025

Male Candidates:

• Minimum height requirement: 170 cm.
• Chest measurement: 80 cm (unexpanded) and 85 cm (expanded).
• Candidates from specified Hill areas have a relaxed height requirement of 165 cm.
• Scheduled Tribes candidates have a further relaxed height requirement of 162.5 cm, with chest measurements of 77 cm (unexpanded) and 82 cm (expanded).

Female Candidates:

• Minimum height requirement: 157 cm.
• No chest measurement requirement for female candidates.
• Female candidates from specified Hill areas have a relaxed height requirement of 155 cm.
• Scheduled Tribe female candidates have a minimum height requirement of 154 cm.
